An Interview with Michel Moreau
Michel Moreau - a multi-dimensional family physician practicing with patience and warmth
I recently interviewed Dr. Mich Moreau, a hard-working family medicine practitioner in his early 50s with expertise in three medical specialties, naturopathy, physical medicine and osteopathy. He splits his time between an office in South Burlington and another one here in St. Albans, where he sees 12 to 14 patients a day, works well beyond 8 hours a day and sees people six days per week.
Mich is originally from France, as you will instantly note from his accent. He worked in England and Canada before happily basing himself here in Vermont with his American wife. After hearing what Mich had to say I find myself tempted to switch to him as my primary care provider. His medical values and goals are admirable. His track record of schooling and practice shows him to be a lifelong learner and his practical experiences at this stage of his life are extensive. Maybe you too will think about exploring naturopathy, physical medicine and osteopathy in your future care. |
The interview contained more information than I thought best to include in the main podcast. If you want to hear more from Mich, then there are three additional interview segments that can be listened to at the bottom of this page.

Because Michel Moreau is not a typical physician I thought it might be helpful to include some information that might give you a greater understanding of what his training involved:
Family Medicine: a medical practice or specialty which provides continuing general medical care for the individual and family.
Naturopathy: a system of treatment of disease that avoids drugs and surgery and emphasizes the use of natural agents (such as air, water, and herbs) and physical means (such as tissue manipulation and electrotherapy).
Physical medicine and rehabilitation: a medical specialty concerned with preventing, diagnosing, and treating disabling diseases, disorders, and injuries by physical means (as by the use of electrotherapy, therapeutic exercise, or pharmaceutical pain control) — called also physiatry, physical medicine.
Osteopathy: a system of medical practice based on a theory that diseases are due chiefly to loss of structural integrity which can be restored by manipulation of the parts supplemented by therapeutic measures (as use of medicine or surgery).
