Sally Lawyer has been teaching young children for 42 years in St. Albans and all but two of those years have been working with kindergarteners. That means that she has been a pivotal teacher for nearly 700 students over the course of her teaching lifetime.
Since the early days of her time being with children, people have recognized that Sally has a genuine talent for teaching and they continue to feel feel that way to this day. She is respected at St. Albans City School for being able to shepherd batch after batch of her five and six-year olds through a year of tremendous cognitive and social growth, and always with fairness and kindness. It is appropriate to say that Sally is an icon in the St. Albans community.
